Winner of the Audience Award for US Documentaries at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, Jim: The James Foley Story is an intimate and profoundly moving portrait of US conflict journalist James Foley. Foley, who was beheaded by ISIS in late 2014, is remembered by friends, colleagues, and former prison mates as a passionate and talented journalist driven to the front lines of terror to help create a record of today’s global conflicts. Directed by Foley’s childhood friend Brian Oakes, the film allows audiences to understand who James Foley was, and pays tribute to him and his colleagues who continue doing the dangerous work that cost Foley his life.
